How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

Architecture is in my DNA. My grandfather built in Philadelphia. He left his mark by leaving 3 Native American head pennies in every foundation he poured. I am privileged to build on that history, designing and building spaces in Atlanta.

 What do you do?

I evaluate space and location, and design full circle built environment solutions. I am a builder that leads with design. Clients come to Aspire with raw materials - a space, an idea - and every time they leave with a fully realized design and plan.

What excites you in the work you do?

Creating excites me. Everyday I create/build something that wasn’t here yesterday. I always, always start with paper and pencil. From there its design, create, iterate and BUILD. I steward from thought to execution. Nothing thrills me more.

Who or what inspires you professionally?

Legacy inspires me. There is no greater feeling than passing by an edifice that will be here long after you’ve passed on for future generation to see, to love, to use and know that you had a hand in bringing it to fruition.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

Hanging out my shingle and welcoming clients to the Aspire Construction & Real Estate Consulting experience. Turnkey, one stop shop design/build. Everyday we aspire for higher.

 Featured Project Description:

Tiny homes are a multi-prong solution to housing diversity. A passive income generator for the homeowner, it adds to the affordable housing mix in the city core and elevates a typical backyard into an urban oasis. Landscape design creates a natural sound and visual barrier allowing privacy and incorporating native flora. The interior layout allows for a living space that both economizes and elevates. The 2nd floor is full height and the living space extends to the outdoors on multiple levels.
